There have been ongoing medical news reports in the posts to Net-Gold and
the some of the sources of these reports of news stories should constitute
good sources for medical news.

Google News of course covers medical news. Do not overlook Google Blogs
and Google Groups as corners of the news are covered in sources that are
not standard such as coverage of developments in alternative medicine in
these sources.

It may also be interesting to see where scholars and the book learned turn
for their medical news.

Yahoo News has ambitions of becomming a leading news source, so checking
Yahoo News for medical topics may also be productive.

The news coverage of general science magazines like Science, Science News
and Scienific American will also include news from medicine as part of
their coverage. Please pardon me if I am off target as I did not see the
original post. Nevertheless, I hope these suggestions are of some help.

Major daily newspapers like the New York Times, Washington Post, Los
Angeles Times and so forth have health or medical news sections daily.
Major medical resource sites or portals like WebMD also tend to have
medical or health news sections and CNN also has medical news.
