I've been to Utah several times and have stayed at a number of downtown hotels. I've had some pretty good deals at the Hilton and the Best Western Salt Lake Plaza at various times, but at other times they were expensive. Consistently cheap is the Carlton Hotel on South Temple at appx $60 per night with a cooked to order breakfast included. I just got back from SLC last week. We stayed at the Residence Inn City Center --4 people. We had a two bedroom suite with kitchen for $105 using AARP discount. They serve an extensive continental breakfast and have a social hour 5-6pm with wine and beer (Mon-Thurs) and a snack--soup and salad one night, beef stew another, chicken nuggets and chili dogs. Some of our group made this dinner. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - SkiVt-L is brought to you by the University of Vermont.
