While on our way north to Burlington yesterday morning, caught a glimpse of the Ferrisburg snowy owl it one of the large trees about 200 yards east of the geen farmhouse on Walker Road.  By time we got out of the car and started setting up the scope, it flew east and disappearedinto the fog.
We also stopped at Ft. Cassin and spotted SEVEN bald eagles in various plumage styles (first year to mature, with intermediate gradations) in the trees to the south of the creek.
These, plus one northern harrier, made it a pretty good day for rapters.
