Should I use the template to create a "support" web for an
internal department? The web would not be available to outside entities,
and, in fact, will probably be restricted to people in the department, as well
as those of us who provide support to them. The content would be things
like internal procedures and documentation, vendor updates, project schedules,
processing calendars, etc.
I attempted a basic version using the template, which was
fairly easy to use. It seems to be able to provide support for most
everything I want to do, though pdf files (especially from the vendor)
would be nice to include. Is there a definitive list of what is/isn't
supported?
Limiting access wasn't difficult using SSL and .htaccess,
however the result is a semi-secured web since the standard template links don't
use https (resulting in the annoying "This page contains...." popup). Is
there a way to make a properly secured web using the template?
