I hereby nominate this entire hiking party for a Darwin Award.

It reminds me a bit of the Quebecois Sheffy and I ran into while
downhiking the ice floes of Lowe's Path last spring. They were heading
up into wet weather and impossibly slick conditions without crampons.
Can't say we didnt warn them.
