I realize it's 2010, but you never know..... We have a "motorized" stand that once held a 36x48 digitizing table free to anyone who wants it. A drafting table or something similar could be mounted on it. It's a "Maylite Futur-matic" to be specific--doesn't that sound retro-hip! Also is a 36x38-inch Numonics Accu-Grid digitizer (which actually doesn't mount on the 'Futur-matic,' but it could be rigged up I'm sure), again, free to anyone who wants it. You pick in Brattleboro.
