Good Morning Again,

Thank you to all the people who responded to our cry for help.  We found two repair couplings that will suit our needs and should have the leak repaired by the end of the day.

  Good Morning,

   

  Last night in the City of Rutland we had a section pipe blow out of an 1879 pipe with a 5.77" outside diameter.  We plan to splice in a piece of 6" ductile iron pipe, but we have no repair couplings that can fit onto the old 1879 pipe.  We're told that there is a Hymax coupling in existence that will work and are scrambling to find two of them.  Until we can splice a piece of pipe together, there are about 20 building without water.  We'll run something overland as quickly as possible in the mean time.
