I was glad to see this message posted because we have experienced some problems with the new Discotest. We have subscribed to the SAM-CD which includes Discotest for over a year. The medical residents and some of the voluntary attendings are the main users and they found the old Discotest easy to use and helpful. We even discovered that we could provide individual ID's to users so that they could receive credit. (originally we thought that was not possible with the network version.) However much of our usage is dial-in and with the new Discotest II they are virtualy unable to use the program. Although it can still operate under just DOS, it is very graphically designed and runs much too slow. The DOS version is apparently not mouse enabled, which is confusing to some users. The residents have asked that we put back the old cases for Discotest (I), even if we have to load them separately from the floppy version. I'm interested in hearing from others on this topic as well. BTW, does anyone know when Harrison's will be out on CD-ROM? I know they're working on it.
