While putting together a display of some personal letters, photos, etc. that I have along with other items I can find on Janet Doe for MLA in D.C., I decided to load what I have on the Web so that folks helping me with the display can comment on the items. It occurred to me that other Medlibbers might have items in their libraries (letters, pictures, etc.) which might be nice to have for this display. So, I am letting you all have the URL so you can have a look and perhaps contribute. Bear in mind, this is a VERY rough first attempt at the Janet Doe Homepage. It is not organized or "spiffed up" in the way I envision the completed page. Stuff was just loaded and is there for review. I think it very appropriate that this wonderful lady be the first of our past medical library leaders to have a homepage on the World Wide Web. Since I was fortunate to have met her, I know that she would find this new mode of information dissemination fascinating. If you have a good, high resolution monitor the letters she sent me should come out quite legibly. Bear in mind, she was 90 years old when she wrote them and in poor health. Still, as with everything I know she accomplished, this too was done with valiant efforts. The URL is: http://www.med.miami.edu/doe/janetdoe.html Surf on in and get acquainted with Janet Doe.
