Young people have had many opportunities to hear about global warming whether in school, through the media, on Facebook, etc. many young people are very avid campaigners on this subject. Lots of those in occupy are among them.
You yourself have no excuse not to have made the effort to understand the key points well enough to explain them to anyone who cares. If you haven't you should at least know books, etc., that make the case.
The ones who decide to take Adams seriously may well not be idiots, but they have to be trying very hard not [...]

Chandler was referring to the fact that without presenting any evidence whatsoever, Mike Adams calls global warming a hoax and a lie. Instead he makes the totally obvious point that plants need CO2 and that CO2 isn't (directly) harmful to humans at 400ppm. He simply ignores the greenhouse effect and just makes up that the recent rise in atmospheric CO2 comes from natural sources. Anyone who takes what he says seriously simply ignores what atmospheric scientists and popularizers like Gore have been clearly demonstrating for years. [...]

Extra CO2 does seem to suit some plants, but some important crops don’t like more of it (maize being one). And since everything around us has basically evolved to live in a certain CO2 range,I would worry abut unanticipated consequences down the line even in plants that do seem to like it.
References to a lush, tropical world when CO2 was much higher sound nice, but don’t consider how much of the life we live is dependent on just this range of atmospheric CO2. So in the oceans, [...]
