Disney Drag Dance!

Hello, SASSos!

As I'm sure you've heard, this Friday is our Disney Drag Dance! We're
holding the dance in association with LGBTQApril here on campus, so
costumes and/or drag is highly encouraged (though not at all
required). The dance will be mostly Ballroom, with West Coast Swing
and Salsa. The mini-lesson in Waltz will start promptly at 7PM in the
Dance Studio of the Patrick Gym, and the dance itself will run from
7:30-10:00. Cost is $5 for students, $7 for USA Dance members, and $9

tabling schedule; if it doesn't work for you, contact me asap. If
you're scheduled to table the first shift (starting at 10 or 1:30 on
Tuesday or 10 on Thursday), meet me by the SASS in the SGA (3rd floor,

Hello SASSos!

I've got a few important announcements for y'all. First: this Thursday
marks the start of our West Coast Swing lessons! They're 8-9 in the
Gym, when social Ballroom Open Studio used to take place (if you still
want open studio time, come Tuesday nights 8-9 in the gym). 9-10 on
Thursdays will still be our Intermediate Ballroom time, and 10-11 will
still be Beginner Ballroom. Tuesday nights will be the same as well,
with Beginner Salsa 9-10 in the gym and Intermediate Salsa 10-11 in
the dance studio. [...]

Hey everyone!

So there's a club sports broomball tournament this Sunday and I know
some of you expressed interest in participating. If you're still
interested, email me back before noonish tomorrow and I can setup the
teams. The tournament will be from 12:00-4:00, but we won't have to be
on the ice until 12:30 since I know some of us have practice til 12:00.
It should be really fun, so if you're interested, definitely sign up. [...]

or intermediate ballroom social tonight, only beginner social at 10:00
in the dance studio. Scheduling is going to be a bit funky for the next

resigning from her position as of March 1. This leaves an opening

holding this semester's first social dance! We're starting out with a
lesson in the sexiest of dances, Argentine Tango. The dance itself

PE Credit

Hey all,

Sorry for all the emails. Some of you have been asking about PE credit,
so here's the details. The easy way is to fill out this waiver on the
lynx: https://thelynx.collegiatelink.net/form/start/16465
From here, Leon (the head of Club Sports) will approve you and you can
register for the class through the registrar page. To get credit, you
have to attend 1 hour/week of SASS activities, so you don't need to be a
team member, you just need to go to the social lessons. However, *the
waiver is only available until 3:00pm today*. [...]

SASS is holding its annual Winter Ball tomorrow night! It will be in the
Patrick Gym Dance Studio from 7 to 10pm and for the first half-hour there
will be a mini-lesson in waltz. There will be many snowflakes and much
wintery music, so please join us for dancing and merriment tomorrow night
(you can de-stress after finishing the first day of finals)!! It is $5 for

obvious way is through contact with you, the students who go to the social
lessons and who are on the teams! In response to that I would like to invite

November Salsa Dance

This Saturday, November 10th, SASS is going to be holding its monthly dance,
Salsa style! From 7-10pm in the Livak Ballroom on the fourth floor of the
Davis Center SASS will be rocking out to Salsa, Bachata, Meringue, Kizomba,
Cha Cha, and other music! There will be a mini lesson in Bachata at the
beginning of the dance. The dance will be $5 at the door for students ($9
for the general public) or you can get your ticket for $4 while SASS is
tabling in the Davis Center Atrium (Wednesday from 2-5pm or Thursday from

For a correction to the last email, the Chair of Salsa and Chair of Ballroom
are not being voted on, if you are interested in filling one of those
positions you will have to apply to the board in January.

Also, if you interested in running for an office you are encouraged to come
to a SASS Board meeting. They happen every Wednesday from 6-7:30pm; this
week (Nov 7th) it will be held in the Rosa Parks Room (1st Floor, Davis
