A great opporunity....
Hello All,
If you are receiving this e-mail it is because you are part of a list-serve,
head of an organization, or just someone that can get the word out about this
very amazing upcoming event.
On February 19 (wed night) from 7-9pm in Ira Allen Chapel, "Journey To A
Hate
Free Millennium" will be presented by Brent Scarpo. "Journey" is a short film
documentary that questions the murder of gay, University of Wyoming student,
Matthew Shepard who was left to die on a fence, the murder of African
American,
James Byrn Jr. who was dragged behind a truck in Jasper Texas, and the
massacre
that occured at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado. Brent Scarpo
is
maker of the film, and will be presenting a short peice before showing his
thought prevoking documentary. This is an eye-opening event, that makes
viewers question how they can combat hate in their everyday lives, and on
their
campus. The program is free, and open to all that can attend.
Also, this film is presented by ALANA, LGBTQA, and the UVM GREEKS with
sponsorship from the SGA. Never before have these groups united to bring a
message to campus, and never something this powerful. Please attend, and
please encourage others to attend as well.
The following attachment is a copy of one of the news articles that has been
written about the event. Thank you for your time, and I hope to see you at
the
program. If you have any questions about the event please feel free to
contact
me either by phone or e-mail.
Blessed Be,
Beth Rice (program coordinator)

I arise in the morning torn between the desire to improve the world and
a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.
