Our Lassen is out of Shasta. Shasta is out of Burl Fords Buddy her Father is
the Son of Rover brother to Shep which makes her a Granddaughter of The
original four she also has Little Bit in her pedigree. Little Bit is one of
the females from that litter with Keppie being the final female in the
group. Of course her grandfather Buddy is a Grandson of Shep. So she has
three of the original dogs in her pedigree.

Oh, wow, that is awesome. Definitely keep those genes going!
There was one of that litter DOS was in that was never bred; he was intact
but he was owned by... McDuffy's brother?... and even though people begged
him, he never let him be bred. What a shame.
I hadn't heard that the other two were bred; most excellent!

if I'm not mistaken Robbie is a litter mate to Buddy

That's right. I think there were two males and four females in that litter
RebelxLilly (nuts; Sheryl isn't here to ask. Maybe it was 3 and 3?) and two
females were shipped to Montana to what would up being a puppy mill that
later got busted. There were no records kept as far as I know, so there are
more DOS descendents but no one knows who they are. I don't know who got the
other two females or if they were ever bred. I wonder if I should have
Robbie DNA tested for future research? Does anyone do that?
