Hi Elaine,
    Would you explain the "heat sensitive" a bit more... I'm curious what
you mean.  Just a seasonal change in coat?  I had heard that "show Collies"
were bred so that their coats "looked good" year-round, however impractical
that is!  I posted a photo last summer of Bri in her "naked" stage, post
babies and mid-summer.  She looked like a puppy again, no undercoat at all,
just down to guard hairs.  If only I'd gotten a "before" photo of her in
March, pregnant with 9 pups + a *heavy* winter coat, after spending 6 weeks
in Ohio.  She looked huge!  During the transition (which I expedited by
giving her bath when it was clear the coat was going to blow) I swear I
could have collected a couple bales of dog hair from her.  Incredibly soft.
