Eric Halsell's Meg also reminded me of a Sheltie, but I don't think she was
one, at least not a purebred. (Now that I want to look at the pictures, I
can't find my copy of the book). I've seen BC's with that "foxy" look. I
think that's all the "fox collies" were -- local strains of collies that had
prick ears, foxy faces, thick fur, and often a reddish color.
