I'll post a picture as soon as I actually take one, but yes, my pooch is the
white one with brown spots on the English Shepherd website that says
"adopted!" next to her! It's so funny to post to a bunch of strangers only
to find out they all already know my dog. Whoever came close to adopting
her but didn't quite, all I can say is I'm darn glad I beat you to it. I'm
crazy about her and I can't take my eyes off her, she's so pretty.
The English Shepherd breed info sure does look like her, so I bet you're
absolutely right that she's the mutt grandkid of that Virginia breeder's
English Shepherd. Now I really wonder who Dad was... a lot of the things I
blamed him for came, more likely, from Mom. God help me if I start driving
around Montross checking out all the male dogs.
As for her sisters (she has two), they were both adopted; one to northern
Virginia somewhere, I think, one to middle Maryland (that's mine), and one
all the way to New York! When I got there for Chaos, her one sister was
still there (the one with one blue eye and one brown), and they looked like
peas in a pod. The last sister was due to be picked up that afternoon. The
first sister to be adopted was all red-brown and had Paul Newman blue eyes;
her picture on petfinder was pretty gripping. I still think I got the
beauty of the bunch, though.
Thanks so much for the info!
