Can dogs get tapeworms from eating moles? On a recent vet visit, one
of my dogs was found to have tapeworms (something I'd suspected
before the visit). Medication has been administered...
My dogs have been digging up mole or vole holes in the back yard, and
may have eaten a couple of them. We've got rabbits in the yard
sometimes, too, but usually they come out only at night when the dogs
are confined to the house, so I doubt they'd have had a chance to
catch and eat a rabbit. I don't know if dogs can get tapeworms from
rabbit poop, which I've also found in the yard. We also get the
occasional woodchuck visiting my garden...
Which of these critters carries tapeworms?
