LOL, Rini!
I guess I'm "one up" on you here. If I look up for ANY reason, both my BC
and my ES are right there beside me, looking up, too. (Of course, if the
item at which I was looking turns out to NOT be a squirrel, they glance at
one another, shrug, roll their eyes, and walk away shaking their heads ;)

I'm in the house and DD yells she can hear a hawk...so I dash outside
with Strider and Robbie. The chickens have all disappeared, but I can see
their silhouettes under the chicken house. Good.
I look up, and there's a hawk circling around. Not a Redtail, but same
rounded wing tips and size. It's slowly coming closer, and "the boys"
haven't got a clue. So I look at the hawk and growl. I turn dogs' heads
the right way to look, but they aren't getting it, so I put them in a
down-stay and keep growling, hoping they'll want to know what I find
threatening.
I glance over my shoulder to see if they are looking up, but they are
looking at each other.
I swear, if I see a shrug, no dinner for either of them!
