Came out of lurk-mode to give an update of our rescue- Charlie, who
looked ESy enough to be on the rescue page. Well, even if he's
100% mix, --What a Love!!! --Please check out his new webpages.
Meanwhile, here's a poem (kind of) to the tune of:
"This Old Man, he played one......"
This young pup was more than glum
His time at the pound was almost done
With a tisk-task, make-it-fast
Is there someone known?
Who'd give this guy a foster home
This black & tan was in a stew
But his sad story's nothing new
With a click-clack, computer chat
On keyboard or the phone
NESR Rescue got it goin'
To save his life and set him free
NESR placed him here with me
with a quick-fly, in the sky
farther then he'd roam
This ES was soaring home
Once secure his heart did pour
He had lots-to-give, and more
In a zip-zap, picked our pack
His loyalty had shone
This young guy's no rolling stone
To be good, how he did strive
To win our hearts he used his drive
Just to fit-in, Rin-tin-tin/
Lassie or a clone
Gave his all for our love alone
He learns so fast and knows some tricks
I'm proud of him, so here's some pics
He's a tip-top, never stop;
Learning on his own
This ES deserves a bone
Loyal, smart; eager and revin'
He'll stay here till he goes to heaven
From the get-start, he stole our hearts
The seeds of love were sewn
Now that love is set in stone
Now; with men and kids he's great
Doesn't growl or hesitate
He's a big lug, snuggle-bug
His character has grown
Always has a happy tone
Wanted to write you all a line
To let you know that Charlie's fine
He's a smart-guy, turn-your-eye
I'll say it in a poem--and,
Hope we all meet in the midwest zone
Remember to help again and again
whenever you have an ES yen
With a knick-knack, make a pact
Give a dog a home
Foster or adopt from NESR's own
NESR Rescue's Number One!
Hope to be able to make a midwest gathering!
