Thank you for passing on your daughter's response.  Duffel is on interceptor
which is making him sleep 22 hours but he is eating well and wakes up to go
for walks though he doesn't have the energy and playfulness you would expect
from a 15 month old dog.  And interceptor is very expensive even when you get it
at cost - which is what my vet sells it to me for.

It was a dermatologist who scared me into putting Duffel on the interceptor.
My regular vet and I had a long chat yesterday about whether Duffel  really
needs this much medicine, given his age and the small amount of mange he has. We
both agreed that specialists sometimes over-treat and he is going to do some
research on the subject.  If Duffel had been 10 months or less everyone would
have let his maturing immune system take care of the problem. It is his being
just over a year that makes it so iffy. I do have him on supplements and
immune system boosters and I have my fingers crossed.
