Permission to cross post..
NESR has 2 dogs in Georgia that are in need of foster homes.
Casey is a young purebred female ES that was taken in by a good samaritan.
He nursed her back to health, but is not able to keep her long term. She is
black & tan with white. Casey has a sweet temperament and the good
samaritan would really like to see her on a path that would lead to her
forever home. Foster homes with cats may need to work with Casey to teach
her appropriate dog-cat interaction.
Buster The Dog is a young ESy male who recently lost his owner. He was
found as an abandoned dog and his vet suggested he quite likely had some
wonderful ES genes. The owner's daughter reports that Buster is a happy,
playful, and affectionate dog, comfortable with kids, and brave enough that
he has been known to chase a bear or two off their property. As he is used
to country life, a more suburban foster home will need to help him thru that
transition. He does not have experience with livestock.
We'd love to find foster homes in the GA, NC, SC, AL, TN, FL area for either
of these dogs to avoid the stress and cost of long-distance transportation.
If you're interested in fostering either of these dogs, please contact me
off-list at thatlldodawg @ hotmail.com (remove spaces) or e-mail the NESR
mailbox at nesrinfo @ yahoo.com (remove spaces). Thanks!
