         There are organizations that will register your tattoos and give you
 a tag to put on the dogs collar, usually these want social security numbers

 even release this info to them when they find stolen goods with SS's on
 them.  Many people use their drivers license number (with state initials in
 front of it) and AKC will now release info if you use their AKC number.
         In some areas there are kennel clubs that will offer tattoo clinics,
 ask around.  Most vets don't want to do this unless the dog is put out and I
 hate to see a dog put out more than necessary, perhaps if the dog is to have
 surgery for something else it could be tattooed at that time.

I've have heard that tattoo's can be changed, is this true? I understand
micro chipping is more effective. I have decided to go with one of these two,
but was not sure which, maybe it would be best to have both done.
I supose there will always be underhanded people who will figure a way to get
around these devices.
Do you have Omaha's 1-800 #? I used to get this catalog years ago,  I'd like
to get it again and compare prices to Jeffers which is the company I've been
ordering from.
