I know sometimes I can over react when one of my dogs gets sick but if
any of my animals was throwing up and having runny bowels more than, say,
two or three days I'd be camped at my Vets until the problem was solved. My
dogs eat all kinds of things that make them sick (deer poop and small dead
(cat supplied) rodents being top of the list) but usually this sort of
stuff is a one shot deal and works its way out of the dog's system pretty
quickly. Prolonged vomiting or diareha is not a good sign and four months
is terrible. Your vet should be more responsive in investigating this
problem and should at least do a blood work-up to look for causes.
