I have a dog question. One of my collie's are due to come in season in
a couple weeks.
I take all 3 running with other dogs at a dog park daily. Molly is just
over a year old.
She is the dominate dog at our house.
We raise and show English Angora rabbits and
Peruvian Cavies. She is gentle with all the animals. She is the type
of collie who loves to run, hunt, catches mice, herds everything in
sight. She doesn't want any dogs jumping on her though! She will let
them know in a hurry!
This morning at the park a dog jumped on her and the two got in a
scuffle. They didn't hurt each other etc. I was wondering if this
change in her tolerance could be because she is coming in season soon.
After the scuffle, she and the other dog drank out of the same bucket
and ran around together again. She never fights with our other 2
Last night I had all 3 out in a field and had a friend with her 2. They
were all tearing around and Molly had no incidences of snapping or
Any ideas? I don't want this to become a habbit! Normally she is very
gentle and works along with the other dogs.
Thanks for your help
