Our approach to fleas and ticks is a bit controversial, but it has sure
worked for our dogs. We feed them garlic in their food. Once, we ran out,
and within a week they were all three covered with ticks (we were picking
off at least 20-30 a DAY). Started them on it again, and within a week we
were back to one or two stray ticks a week. No fleas, either (and this is
in a fairly high flea population area of TX). We feed them garlic granules
(like you use in cooking). About 1 T or a little more per day divided
between four dogs.
