Lassie was used to promote Heartguard and was soundly criticized by the
collie community because of the potential problems it may cause with
collies. So there could be some sensitivity to jumping into something that
is out of there realm. I agree Lassie would be a great advocate for canine
issues but unfortunately the Lassie name is owned by corporate America.
That is what I was alluding to about not saying Lassie was the poster child
of CVC in print.
