Hello to all!

Just a quick note to introduce myself as a new list member. My name is
Kristin Stillman and we have four collies - two blue merles, one tri
color, and one sable headed white. Our tri color female I now know is
truly a farm collie. She was our first collie. We drove to Ohio to get
her from a farm family. No papers, no huge price, a litter of 12 in a
barn lot. We couldn't love her more. She is the best dog! Her ears
tipped naturally. She has a large head, large golden eyes, short coat
mostly black and tan. She's almost 14 years old. Her name is Annie.

Of our other three collies, one was bred by a show dog breeder. Jake
looks very different from the others but he fits in just fine as one of
the "pack." The remaining two, Alex and Otis, are probably from what
people would call "backyard breeders." They are none the less the most
loving and devoted dogs, displaying all the typical collie
characteristics and temperament. My husband and I are not breeders, nor
do we show. We love this breed of dog and would have a dozen if we had
the space and the time!

I look forward to reading your comments and learning more. Thanks!

Kristin
