Hi,

I’m still here. Founder of the original American Working Collie Association (founded 1979). Down to 1 Collie, a blue Smooth with a “split face.” Face coloration js perfectly split down the middle of the face with blue on one side, and tri in the other. Body color follows the color on that side of the face. Jackson (Jax for short) by name. Bred for high drive and working and sport abilities. Super smart, ornery 😁, learns very fast and has taught himself some things that are not only funny but amazing at times... A dog of my heart, and beautiful. ❤️🐾😊[Image]

Looking forward to seeing your photos, and hearing your stories.

Stay warm and safe,

Cindy

Subject: Hi - I need to report in about our amazing farm collie

Hi
I’ve been a lurker here for years. I wanted to contribute but was always busy (or is the better word, overwhelmed?) with the homestead to write.

We got a mixed farm collie - according to Sue Hogan she’s a mixture of three collies. Therefore from what I’ve learned, she’d be a Type and not a Breed.
I have learned to never underestimate a Type.

A part of her line is from the venerable Tish Toren.
We got Bodhi from Sue Hogan 12 years ago.
Bodhi is still amazing and healthy and I need to connect with y’all and describe her. She has blown our minds.

She’s been our homestead dog and has worked hard for us. I’ve been a dog person since I was a child. And this dog,
I’ve never seen anything like her.

Is this the place to share?
Is Sue Hogan still here? Is Tish? Gratitude to you both.

Best wishes to you all here.

She is old & on a downhill slope now; after she dies, we will be looking for a farm collie, sometime in the next year.

Hi Kent,

I for one want to hear all about your Bodhi! I don't think anybody
would mind if you just posted on this email listserve regardless!

Please, bring it on! It sounds so exciting, I can't wait to hear.

I want to hear, too! This list has been quiet for a long time and maybe
it'll get us going again to hear about your great dogs.
