learning.

Thursdays at noon (PT) on VoiceAmerica.com, you can now listen online or
download files from past shows from our Web site (www.glef.org).
Featured
guests have included Harvard's Howard Gardner on multiple intelligences
and
author Daniel Goleman on emotional intelligence.

I. Featured Video: Key Largo School
"One of the things I really love about Key Largo School is that the
teachers are real risk takers. I encourage that. ... You can't have
education reform unless you're willing to try new things." -- Frankie
St.
James, principal
At rural Key Largo School (pre-K to 8th grade) in the Florida Keys,
younger
students work with older students, project-based learning takes center
stage, and theme-based, alternative programs are used to engage
students.
There is a strong connection to parents and community and use of new
learning tools -- whether it's a computer, video equipment, or a global
positioning system (GPS). At their Technology Fair, student projects
range
from hand-crafted racing cars to handheld GPS devices.
