FYI........
Hello!
This is just a quick note to tell you that CyberSurfari Summer 2000 will be
launching on June 21st at 3:00 PM EST. CyberSurfari helps thousands of
parents, teachers and students learn to use the Web in a fun and educational
treasure hunt format. If you have not done so already, please take a look
at the program at http://www.cybersurfari.org and see if it is right for
your state's teachers and students. If you like what you see, and know of
summer school programs that would benefit, please feel free to send your
version of the following email to your colleagues urging them to participate
in the hunt.
I guarantee that it will be worth their time!
Thanks,
Katy Mason

Are you looking for new way to get students interested in learning????
June 21st through October 15th, 2000 tens of thousands of parents, teachers,
and students will embark on CyberSurfari Spring 2000; a world famous
Internet expedition of learning. It is free to play and a lot of fun!
Children's Web-Surfing Alliance is a nonprofit organization that
hand-picks over 100 exciting safe, and educational destinations for kids to
explore throughout the Internet. CyberSurfari is an effective way to improve
deductive reasoning and reading skills. Students can work on their
web-navigation skills, while developing the ability to work as a team to
accomplish specific goals.
CyberSurfari can be played regardless of age or skill level. Players learn
interesting facts about the great pyramids of Egypt, roller coaster physics,
art, music, world history, animals, current events, sports figures, the
environment, politicians and much more!
Your School Can Win Prizes and Other Treasures!
Your students will have fun and a worthwhile experience just by playing
CyberSurfari. But there are more than $100,000 in cash and prizes including
tens of thousands of T-shirts, mouse pads and certificates available to win.
In addition to the race and the weighted random drawing, CyberSurfari '00
Milestone Prizes inspire and motivate players to continue their search for
treasures.
You can be confident that students will not be exposed to dangerous Internet
destinations. CyberSurfari.Org reviews ALL sites for appropriate material
and educational value. The sites are not always kid-specific, but are always
kid-friendly!
Sign-up and Play Now - It's Free!
Although sign-up is required, we collect only the information needed to
distribute prizes and give players credit for their hard work during the
contest. We do not sell, rent, or make available any information about our
players to anyone. A full privacy promise and a sample letter of permission
to send to parents are located on our site for your review.
