Hi again everyone -
A while back I circulated an e-mail informing you that I knew of some
computers from StarBase-VT that were available for donation. While older,
slower, and not necessarily great for cruising the Web, these computers
could be used for fundamental applications like word processing.
The purpose of this note is to see if you know of or can talk with any
businesses or private individuals you know of who do have older computers
for donation. I'm prompted to solicit because of a call I had from the
Vermont Adult Basic Education Program, whose students could really benefit
from computers that are only able to do word processing, for example.
So if you know of any business or individual looking to donate to a good
cause, contact Kathy Finnie, from the Vermont Adult Basic Education Program
at [log in to unmask] Please DO NOT respond to this list....
Thanks -
Bill
