Bryan,
I'd check 2 things
First make sure you uninstalled the preloaded NAV 3 month trial
subscription if it came preinstalled as you will run into trouble with
both on the same machine.
2nd - go into control panel and try turning off the windows firewall.
I've run into various wierd compatability issues with this on in OS XP
SP2.
Hope this helps, Jean

Hi all,

I've been working on this problem for more than a few hours so now I'm
going the easy way - the list. I unboxed a new Gateway laptop
yesterday, uninstalled Norton's Antivirus and installed the latest
version of Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition. Since then, I keep
getting an annoying pop up from the security center that I may be at
risk. In the security center, I deselect the Virus Protection in
"Change the way Security Center alerts me" and I also tell the
security
center that I have my own antivirus program that I'll monitor myself.
On reboot however the message comes back and all of my options have
been deselected! There is no apply now button. Any ideas how I can
tell
the security center to leave me alone? This is a stand-alone computer
for a secretary.
