From the article posted, it sounds like July 1, 2001
is the date ... NOT only for filtering, but for the
whole internet policy AND public hearing ! This will
be a fun town meeting day !

that filtering will slow down your internet access and
in some schools it maybe that you will have to increase
your internet access speed to make up for this loss.

The slowness will not come from the "pipeline" but
from the "spigots" ... your network "gateway" ...
whether it is installed on individual pcs, at the
gateway, or, perhaps, at the vendor level ("proxy"
server perhaps ?)
