Here's one I liked. We had kids in the High School become "characters"
from early literacy novels and fairy tales (Wilbur, Charlotte, Winnie the
Pooh, Tigger, Alladin, Snow White, etc.) Then we gave them email accounts
in those names so they could write to youger children "in character". The
younger children would ask questions and the older kids would need to
write back in the style of the author.
