For what it's worth - at Colchester we used Fortress and it worked fairly
well. Not perfect. For example when installing new software one had to go
through a few additional steps with Fortress to prevent problems. But it
functioned well. I presume its still being used.

Subject: Desktop Security
Hi All,
What if anything are you using for desktop security on Windows 95/98
systems? We are looking at security software such as Fortress and are also
interested in talking with schools using NetBoot software. Our server is
Novel 4.11.
We are trying to keep all of our workstations setup with a consistent user
interface as well as providing security by preventing users from changing
system settings and saving to the local HD.
Also are you using now or planning on implementing filtering software for
Internet usage?
Any replies are welcomed.
Thanks,
Bob Owens
