Sprengstoff....naja, die Jungs in Oklahoma haben da ja auch schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht.

Betreff: [ISOGEOCHEM] Post-doc Position Available

Postdoctoral position is available at the University of Oklahoma,
Department of Geology and Geophysics to develop and optimize
continuous flow gas chromatography-isotope ratio mass spectrometry
methods for carbon and nitrogen stable isotope analysis of explosives
(TNT, RDX and their transformation products) and develop sample
preparation techniques for recovery of the analytes from groundwater
for isotope analysis. The position is initially for one-year position
with the opportunity of extension for additional year. The position
is available immediately.

The successful candidate will work with Finnigan DeltaPlus configured
for measurement of 15N, 13C and D. Another GCIRMS unit and several
GCMS and HPLC instruments are also available in the group.

Hands-on experience in mass spectrometry is required. Experience with
continuous-flow IRMS and track record with development of original
analytical applications is highly desirable. A Ph.D. or equivalent
degree is required, but the area of degree study is not as important
as the experience with mass spectrometry.

Applicants should email their CV, a brief statement of research
experience and interest and contact information for three references
to Paul Philp ([log in to unmask])

Any questions about the position can be sent to the same email address.
