Hi All,
I am rapidly running out of septa for my Multiprep vials and need to
find a new supplier. Typically I only use the Multiprep for oxygen
isotopic analysis of waters. I have only used red rubber septa with
kel-f disks that I got from Matt Emmons of Mountain Mass Spec. Matt
seems to be out of the business as he does not answer calls or emails.
So I need a new source.
I need these for Wheaton vials (wheaton number 986284, 1 ml, 13mmX44mm,
screw cap size 13-425), not exetainers.
I have made my own using a 12mm arch punch and 0.125 inch (3mm)
material but would rather just be able to buy them. Does anyone have a
source of this type of septa?
If I have to go the complete custom route does anyone have suggestion
as to septa material (silicone, butyl, red rubber, viton) and inert
disk (PTFE) or not? Does the advice change any for hydrogen isotopes
on water?
Thanks in advance for any advice. Jason
