Li,

One of my old Gilsons (8 years old) died a few months ago and we sent it back for repair. I then learned that they have recently changed the internal board to separate the controller board from the power supply. So it could be cheaper for you to repair than what Toti had to pay.

Good luck.

Li,

Our Gilson had problems identical to yours and it was downhill from there.
The problem was that the power supply wore out (after 4 years of continual
use). Eventually the little green light under arm started to dim, flicker,
then glow no more. We sent it back to Gilson in Wisconsin and they
replaced the power supply, motherboard, drive belts, ect. For around $1500
it was back in the lab within a week and is now problem free.
