Dear Isotopologists,
We are interested in d-values of leaf and soil water. Can you please
provide me with lab protocols, manuscripts, citations of published
papers on how to treat the aqueous matrix before and/or during the
"water extraction" process. On how to get rid of (volatile) organic
substances like flavourings ("green odor"), pectins, resins, and other
troublesome compounds without effecting the isotope values of the water?
Did someone perform tests to quantify the influence of such compounds on
the water isotope ratio measurement by lasers or isotope ratio mass
spectrometry?
Many thanks in advance and best regards
Roland
