Hi All,
I had a filament blow after several years and since it has been so
long I can't remember some things!. I had been noting that the cathode
current was dropping steadily and I suspected that it was going to go.
I replaced with a new one. Pumped out fine and I turned on the source
and get no beams. On the front of the unit, both the Emission and
lightning bolt lights come on. Below, behind the door the high voltage
light comes on. The leakage current light does not come on (this is as
it should as I understand it). I use the rotating knob behind the door
to view the source readings. I get reasonable values for all except
for the high voltage which sits around at 0.06 . Honestly I am not
sure if this readout has ever given high voltage values.
Does the lightning bolt light and the high voltage light indicate that
I have high voltage? Does the LCD readout of the High Voltage work on
a 252? Did I do something wrong with the installation and I am
shooting the beam at the ceiling and not at the collectors?
Thanks in advance for any advice, Jason
