Hello Everyone,
I have a rather simple, but probably loaded, question. What is the
best way to store organic-rich materials (i.e., dead bugs, plankton,
plant material) to prevent any isotopic change due to degradation
over time?
The two ways we have used in the past are:
1. Freeze-dry the material and then store it in either a fridge or
better yet a freezer, making sure that it does not adsorb moisture
(i.e., place the samples in zip lock bags and double bag).
2. In a dessicator that has been evacuated.
Any help/comments would be greatly appreciated.
