Dear Olaf
I am emailing you to say that I will not be applying for the fellowship
opportunity. It is my ideal job but I have thought about it seriously and
don't feel I can quit my Wellcome fellowship half way through. Because of
gc-c-irms delays in the lab I haven't got any isotope results so far so I
need to continue it until its end in Sept 2006 to be able to fulfil even
half of the objectives. I wish you every luck with the candidate you go
for, I am delighted that Ireland is continuing to make progress (or you
are!) with the application of stable isotopes to the agricultural sciences.
If there was further scope for funding in that aspect of your research I
would be very interested in applying for funding this time next year. I
would like to stay in contact though, to see how you are getting on with
the research.
Thanks again,
Lorna
