Dear list members,
with this message I would like to announce the 28th annual meeting of
the German Association for Stable Isotope Research (GASIR / ASI) which
will be held at the Max-Planck-Institute for BioGeoChemistry in Jena,
Germany, October 10-12, 2005. The last (regular) meeting took place at
the Sporthochschule in Koeln in 2003. Last year, the meeting was part of
the first European Isotope meeting ('JESIUM') held at the premises of
the IAEA in Vienna, a form which hopefully will become more regular in
the future.
Details of the Jena conference in October can be found as a link from
our home page
(http://www.bgc-jena.mpg.de/service/iso_gas_lab/gasir2005/index.shtml).
The meeting will accept contributions around the general topics
discussed on ISOGEOCHEM with a particular emphasis on new methods and
applications. Contributions to the meeting may be given in English or in
German. Following the meeting there is an opportunity to participate in
a special post-measurement data evaluation workshop on the afternoon of
October 12. In this workshop we want to encourage live, informal
presentation of spreadsheet or data base evaluation. Please bring your
post-measurement Excel-files and discuss your findings, procedures,
drift-, blank- or memory corrections.
We expect between 100 and 150 participants. Please use the registration
form on the web site for signing up and for announcing a presentation.
Please note that the deadline for participating and for submitting a
contribution is Sept 2.
Hotel reservation must be made by the participant. It should be made
early in order to benefit from a special rate for GASIR conveners.
See you in Jena Willi
