Ciao Clarissa,

My contribution to the subject: we used a Varian 3400 GC coupled to a Thermo
Delta Plus through the Finnigan Mat Combustion Interface. We measured d13C
of glycerol in wine (column CP-WAX57CB, 25 m length, 0.25 mm i.d., 0.20 ím
film thickness). We had to accept a SD of 0.6 permille for this matrix.
Below, the reference.

wine glycerol: stable carbon isotope approach. Journal of Agricultural and
Food Chemistry. 2004;52:5902

A presto,

Subject: [ISOGEOCHEM] info about Gas Chromatography

Hallo,
I’m writing to the list for ask information about the old GC-combustion of
Finnigan. Our laboratory has a old instrument type 6890 connects at the Mass
Spectrometer. I kindly ask you if somebody is using this instrument (the
same type) for to know the uncertainty of analysis.
Thank you in advance
Best regards
Clarissa
