I have replaced them twice with parts supplied by Costech. They  
considered it a warranty repair and there was no charge. I don't know  
what the wire they are using is rated to, but we are now, per their  
recommendation, only taking the combustion side up to 1000C. It's  
easier to get the quartz inserts out at this lower T.
