Hi Amanda,
How much variation are you seeing? If our syringe is dormant for more than
an hour, we do a rinse routine programmed into the PAL to simulate several
hundred injections. Sometimes this helps. We too see errant injection
volumes on occasion and I never really am convinced its one thing or
another. My suggestion is to keep it running, keep the syringe clean, keep
the septum fresh (we use an old needle to make certain all injection port
parts are aligned...not sure that helps either). I also suggest looking at
the .lgr file. Keep track of RDTau (ring down time) and FitCoeff18
(closely related to cell pressure). These might allow you to tell if its
septum leakage or actual injection volume variation. Good luck.
