---------------------------------------------
A postdoctoral position is available at the University of Oklahoma, in the School of Geology and Geophysics. The major emphasis of this position will be to work on a project related to determination of stable isotope ratios (C, H and Cl) in volatile organics in soil gas and in ambient air.

The position is initially for one-year, with the opportunity of extension for additional year. The starting date is open but we want to fill this position as quickly as possible.

Hands-on experience in mass spectrometry is required. The successful candidate will work with GC-IRMS and GC-MS systems (Thermo Finnigan, Agilent). The position will require good mechanical aptitude, and ability to design/modify and assemble custom instrumentation (e.g., valved air sampling lines). Experience with continuous-flow IRMS and/or track record with development of original analytical applications is highly desirable. A Ph.D. or equivalent degree is required, but the area of degree study is not as important as the experience with mass spectrometry.

Applicants should email their CV, a brief statement of research experience and interest and contact information for three references to Paul Philp, [log in to unmask] Any questions about the position can be sent to the same email address.
