We bought a combined nitrogen (for our GCs) and air generator for our
Delta XP last year from Peak Scientific Instruments in Scotland (but it
looks like they are also based in Chicago). The single air generator
should be much cheaper than the one you have been quoted. The purity is
no problem, so you just need to check the pressure and flow rate
(because of intermittent opening of valves) are Ok for 2 machines. Good
luck.

Hello all,
We are getting our lab ready for the arrival of two
DeltaXP's and have run into a snag regarding compressed air. The
building supply of air does not meet our needs (too low in pressure),
so
we are looking into getting our own compressor. ThermoElectron
recommended a supplier for an oil-less compressor, but the price they
quoted us was about $5000US. Does anyone have recommendations for
suppliers or compressors that are more cost effective and still meet
our
needs?
Thanks to all,
Sean
