Hello-
I am curious if anyone has seen an issue like this on their Delta Plus
IRMS? Our HV has been cutting off at random times. My first thought was
that the problem was a hardware issue related to the ion source (i.e.
needed cleaning, loose wires, etc). After taking the source out and
inspecting there were no "apparent" problems (I'm still not ruling out the
possibility). Once we reboot ISODAT (v2.63) we are able to turn the hv
back on with no problem; however, as soon as we initialize the instrument
by going into acquisition or instrument control mode the hv switches off
(the emission light stays on - obviously no problem with the filament).
Sometimes we are able to get the hv back on and get signal, but then
during a jump from N2 to CO2 or vice versa the hv switches off again. We
have performed a few routine tests suggested by Thermo technical support
but have not made any headway. It is looking more and more like it could
be a software issue but we have used this software for the past 2 years
with minimal problems. I would appreciate any troubleshooting advice from
someone with Delta experience.
Thank you,
Art
