MC-ICP-MS Spectroscopist

------------------------------------------------------------------------

The UC Davis Interdisciplinary Center for Plasma Mass Spectrometry
announces an immediate opening for a full-time technical position in
support of the Multicollector Inductively-Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer
(MC-ICPMS).  Responsibilities include sample preparation and analysis,
technique development, management, maintenance, training and client
analytical assistance for the MC-ICPMS laboratory.  Applicants should have
a M.A. or Ph.D. degree in geosciences, chemistry or a related field, and a
strong background in inorganic analytical chemistry.  Several years of
experience with mass spectrometry and related sample preparation
(geochemical and/or biological) are required.  The Incumbent must be able
to interact effectively with a broad range of clientele and their
